After a thorough renovation, Brasserie Buitenhuis officially opened its doors on the first of July 2016. It used to be a quiet spot with a lot of potential until Brasserie Buitenhuis transformed Lake Valkenburg into the place to be for Leiden and the surrounding area. The brasserie has space for up to 150 persons for breakfast, lunch  and dinner. You can visit us every day from 09.00 till late. We’re always playing a fun tune for a relaxed atmosphere. Once you have a seat on our leather sofas near the fireplace, you’ll want to stay forever. Once the sun is out, that’s when things get really good on the terrace overseeing Lake Valkenburg. You can’t beat a sunset over the Lake. Kids have a great time, both inside and outside. Free parking is also a major bonus.

Something to celebrate?

In addition to the brasserie itself, there are two greenhouses you can book for larger groups. There’s also the great hall for parties where you can dance the night away to your favorite tunes or a band.
